We collect only the information necessary to provide and improve the Service.

Free users who do not register an account are not required to provide any personal information. Anonymous practice sessions may still generate technical data such as IP address.

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account and Premium subscription
• Verify payment receipts and activate Premium access
• Track your exam progress, scores, and weak areas
• Process referrals and award chips accordingly
• Send transactional emails welcome, subscription approval, rejection, and password reset
• Improve the quality, accuracy, and relevance of our question bank
• Detect and prevent fraudulent or abusive activity
• Respond to your support requests
• Display advertisements to free-tier users via Google AdSense to support the platform

Your data is stored on secure servers. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text
• All connections to the platform use HTTPS/SSL encryption
• Payment receipts are stored in a private directory not publicly accessible
• Database access is restricted to authorized personnel only

While we implement strong security measures, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service Providers: We use email hosting services to deliver transactional emails. These providers only process your email address for delivery purposes.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by Ethiopian law, court order, or governmental authority.
• Business Transfer: In the event of a merger or acquisition, your data may be transferred to the new entity under the same privacy commitments.

DrivePass ET uses cookies and session storage for the following purposes:

• Session cookies: To keep you logged in during your browsing session
• CSRF tokens: To protect form submissions from cross-site request forgery
• Referral tracking: A temporary cookie stores the referral code from your URL when you visit via a referral link

We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may affect platform functionality including staying logged in.

DrivePass ET displays advertisements on the free tier to support the platform and keep it free for all users. We use Google AdSense to serve these advertisements.

Google AdSense is a third-party advertising service provided by Google LLC. When you use the free version of DrivePass ET, Google may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

You can opt out of personalised ads at any time. Opting out means you will still see ads, but they will not be personalised to your browsing history.

Premium subscribers enjoy a completely ad-free experience. No Google AdSense cookies are loaded for Premium users.

DrivePass ET does not process credit cards or integrate with third-party payment gateways. All payments are made via direct bank transfer (Telebirr or CBE).

The only payment data we store is the screenshot you upload as proof of payment. This screenshot is stored securely, used only for manual verification by our admin team, and is not shared with any third party.

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Update your name, email, or phone from your profile settings at any time
• Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data from your profile settings
• Portability: Request your data in a readable format by contacting us
• Objection: Object to certain types of data processing by contacting us

DrivePass ET is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Specifically:

• Account data is retained until you delete your account
• Payment receipts are retained for up to 12 months for record-keeping purposes
• Exam history and progress data is deleted immediately upon account deletion
• Anonymous usage logs may be retained for up to 90 days for security purposes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by sending an email notification to registered users.

Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
